Brian Welch - Managing Director

Mr. Welch has ten years experience in real estate underwriting and acquisitions, strategic financing, and asset management.  In his current position with Odyssey Real Estate Capital, Mr. Welch is responsible for acquisitions and management of Odyssey's portfolio of investments.  Prior to co-founding Odyssey, Mr. Welch served as Partner for Centra Properties, a Las Vegas based real estate investment and development company where he was responsible for directing the strategic management and capital financing of the company's portfolio and was actively involved in Centra's efforts to acquire existing real estate assets in the Las Vegas valley, underwriting in excess of $1 billion in commercial property.  He also participated in the acquisition and disposition of the Las Ramblas and South Tech projects which achieved a net profit of over $100 million.  Mr. Welch worked for Archon Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs, from 2000-2003.  At Archon, Mr. Welch managed a $250 million portfolio of Real Estate Owned (REO) assets in the Central United States, underwrote assets in loans valued at over $2 billion both in Italy and the United States, and developed strategic financial plans for commercial assets on behalf of Goldman Sachs' Whitehall Street Real Estate Funds.

Mr. Welch holds an MBA from Yale University and a Bachelor's degree from Georgetown University.
